Flute Days / Weekends
We are lucky in Hampshire, in that a variety of regular flute days / weekends with leading performers, teachers and composers have been organised by Carrie Hensel (of Hampshire Flute Choir and a previous musical director of Flautissimo), and Sarah Heard (one of our members and a previous Chairman of Flautissimo), and occasionally by people from farther afield. They have been admirable in their achievements in bringing world-class musicians to Hampshire. Many local flute students have benefited from participating in these events. Carrie typically hosts her flute days in Romsey. Days typically are structured to be of interest to beginner, intermediate and advanced flautists, and often include massed flute choirs, master classes, and recitals. These events are not organised by Flautissimo
